Quilt for Raegan

So my sister asked me to make Raegan a quilt or I offered and she took me up on it. :-)

New Baby

Well I know I have lots of post I need to put up but I am going to try really hard to stay up to date but I have said that alot and haven't done so well!!! I just got back from staying at my parents house for a month. My sister and brother-in-law are living there while they wait for their house to be ready for them to move in. Because of this I was worried about how it was going to be with 5 adults and 3 soon to be 4 kids in the house. It really wasn't bad. I was there for a month waiting for my sweet niece to be born. She was stubborn and decided to wait until she was 41 weeks and 2 days and my sister had to be induced even though she really didn't want to be.

My sister was induced on July 20, 2011. Mom and I got up to the hospital at abour 1pm and her medicine was started at 2pm. My mom brought the nurses treats and let me tell you that was really helpful. My mom left about 6 pm to take care of the dogs and my kiddos. I wanted to stay and was told htat it might be all night and into the morning. Tara wanted a natural labor and water birth and she got to do that. Let me just say this (and it is not because my sister reads this) I am really proud of her. I have no desire to ever have a natural birth (with no medicine) but that is what my sister wanted and she got it. She was able to do it and she got potossin. She is amazing and I am SO proud of her.

This is a funny story:

So Jarretts parents, Tara's best friend Danielle and I were all waiting in the waiting room. I was doing really good I had my laptop and was reading blogs and playing games. Jarrett was sending us updates and the last update had come about 9:30pm. Well, at about 10:30pm a nurse walked by the waiting room and told Jarretts dad " congratulations" then she got on the elevator and left. We were like "what do you mean congratulations". Oh I forgot to mention we did not know the baby's name. So needless to say I started getting fidgety. At about 11:15pm Jarrett sent us a text. Another funny story. For some reason my phone got the text messages faster then the rest so I found out the name first :-). Anyway at 10:17 pm my first niece Raegan Steele O'Donnell was born weighing 7.5lbs and was 20.5 inches long.

Thanksgiving Saturday

So Saturday is the Delgado Thanksgiving in Victoria! I am just going to pretty much post pictures from the day! We played washers, horseshoes, bingo, ate tons of food and had a good time with friends and family!

Daniel, Anthony, Mason and I headed back early so that we could watch the Georgia Tech/Georgia game. Still love my Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech!!!! The girls stayed with Aunt Becca and Aunt Tanya!

Chase and Meredith stopped by and watched some football with us and that was fun! We definitley need to do that more often!

Daniel left on Sunday and Anthony, the girls and I went and saw Tangled! That is a cute movie it will for sure be a must have. Mason got to spend some time with Aunt JaJa and then went out to HIS Popos! All in all it was a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving holiday! I sure didn't want to go back to school on Monday!

Thanksgiving Day

I know that I am late but I left my camera bag and cord in a friends car and had to retrieve it before I could blog.

So Wednesday I went to pick up my brother from the airport!!! We played games and had fun Wed. night.

On Thursday I got up around 8:30 and headed to the Civic Center to deliver meals with my soroity sisters!

We had a good time and it was very humbling handing out food to others! Next year I want my whole family to do it. After that I went out to my in-laws where the rest of the clan already was. They were teaching my brother how to shoot skeet! Of course the kiddos had to help!

We then went in and ate a delicious Mexican meal of Carne Guisada, Tamales, Mashed Potatoes and Corn. It was so good. Afterwards, my father-in-law did his trick of stacking all the dominoes on to one domino! It is pretty cool!

We then played clinker. Makenzie, Anthony, and I all won :0) Can you tell that that makes Kenzie very happy?

After all of that we settled in and watched football! All I can say is Gig' Em!!!!!!! Then my brother said that he was not feeling well and he had a 103 temp so I gave him some medicine and off to bed we went! It was an AWESOME day!

I got up at 11:30 and was one of the crazy ladies that went to Wal-mart but I was able to get most of my shoping done! We are doing a small Christmas this year. I got back home at 12:30 but couldn't sleep. I finally fell asleep at 2am. I slept in a little on Friday and then we pretty much had a boring lazy day. I sewed all day and watched football. I was very sad to see Alabama lose but oh well. Anthony bar-b-qued and then we played games. It was a nice layed back day.

Corpus Christi- Sunday

We woke up at about 7am and headed down to eat breakfast. Then it was time to take showers, do make up and hair! After that we headed to the American Bank Center for competition. THe girls had to be there at 9:30!

The girls for some reason did not compete their best! They kind of fell apart but they will get it back together for next competition!

They placed 4th out of 4 teams!

However, they have an award called the "Cool dad" award. They draw a name out of a hat and the winner has a chance to win $1,000 at the end of the season! Guess who was cool dad?

We then headed to Chili's to eat lunch before heading home!

Overall it was a GREAT weekend but boy were we all tired!

Lets Try This Again

So I got a new camera this weekend so I am going to try really hard to be a better blogger. I know nobody reads this BUT I really want it for my family to see what we are doing.

My mom was here all week to help me with Bazaar which went alot better then we thought it would!

Friday- The girls spent the night with Aunt Jackie and Mason went to spend the night with Momo and Popo. Being that Anthony, mom and I were home alone what did we do? Go to bed by 9pm :) Jackie called at 10:30 that Madisyn did not want to stay and was ready to come home so she brought her back to us. I think she was just overly tired and they were watching a movie and she just wanted to sleep.

Saturday- We woke up around 8 and got up and dressed. We were watching a little girl from Makenzie's team this weekend so she came and then we waited for Makenzie to get home. We then went to eat breakfast at a taco place. It was DELICIOUS!!!! Ant went to work for his dad and I took Delialah and Makenzie to a birthday party. Madisyn and I went to clean out the car and get ice cream! I picked the girls up, waited for Ant and off to Corpus we went. We stopped in Victoria where I got my new camera and we ate in the mall at Chick-fil-a.

Then we were headed to Corpus!

We checked in at our hotel!















And let the girls go swimming in there indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tub!


















Then we headed to Joes Crab Shack! Now this is a story that I want for my memory. There was a party of 35 ahead of us so we had to wait about 35 minutes. Well, the party was a group of high school theatre students from Midland Texas. My girls were bored so they started playing "Mrs. Sally Johnson!" Well, before you know it there was a group of about 15 kids in the circle with them and the rest of the students were singing the song! It was really neat. Of course Madisyn would only go to her sister or Delialah!








There is a video but I can't get it to upload! They had a good time! Afterwards we went back to the hotel and hung out for a while! I will do Sundays post later :)

Been A While- Venting Post

I LOVE to read other people's blogs. Maybe it is because I am nosy but I just enjoy seeing how others do their blogs and really being jealous that I don't do that good of job on mine. Which I am going to work on. With that said, I read some blogs that are pretty popular and it amazes me how mean people can be. I know that that is the world we live in but I don't understand why people do and say things about other people just to be plain mean. I read a blog about a woman who has struggled with infertility. She finally got pregnant and had a baby yesterday. I also followed her on her twitter account and people had made up a fake twitter account and was making fun of her and her baby. I MEAN REALLY PEOPLE! I don't understand why poeple do stuff like that. They either don't have a life or they are just mean. Just get a life. I just don't get it. These people that write the blogs are just regular people like you and me who decide to blog their stories and do a very good job about it and you come along and ruin it for everyone just because! I just don't get it. What satisfaction do you get from that? Okay. I am done I just had to get that out. I know that no one reads my blog but my sister and brother who I love but I just had to say how i felt!
